The album that changed my life last year was Rosalía’s LUX. I went in not knowing what to expect, except that people were saying it stopped them in their tracks. I soon had the same experience. The album is multilingual, multistyled and multifaceted. I discovered a number of other surprising bands that really got into my head: Geese, Fish in a Birdcage, The Front Bottoms. I got to see Flobots in concert for free at the Levitt Shell Sioux Falls, which was a bucket list item I didn’t realize my heart was holding. And I also got to see Paul McCartney in what must be one of the last years he can tour.
